We use personal information to operate our store, fulfill orders, answer inquiries, secure our systems, and comply with law. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through the Chariot Concepts website, online store, customer and dealer inquiries, support communications, and related online services (collectively, the “Services”). It does not apply to information governed by a separate privacy notice, such as workforce or job-applicant information.
In this policy, “Chariot Concepts,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Chariot Concepts LLC. “Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked with an individual or household. It does not include information that applicable law treats as public, deidentified, or aggregated.
2. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Services and may include:
- Contact and identity information: name, business name, email address, telephone number, billing address, shipping address, and other contact details.
- Order and commercial information: products viewed or purchased, cart contents, order number, prices, shipping method, transaction status, returns, support history, and related records.
- Payment information: payment status, transaction identifiers, and limited payment details supplied by our payment processor. Complete payment-card numbers are submitted directly to our payment processor and are not stored by Chariot Concepts.
- Inquiry and communication information: message content, subject, estimated purchase volume, dealer information, attachments or photographs you choose to provide, and our correspondence with you.
- Device, usage, and approximate location information: IP address or a protected representation of it, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, interaction events, timestamps, and general location inferred from an IP address.
- Account and security information: for authorized administrative users, account identifier, role, authentication records, passkey public-key data, multifactor-authentication status, audit logs, and security events. Biometric information used to unlock a passkey remains on the user’s device and is not sent to Chariot Concepts.
3. Sources of information
We collect information directly from you; automatically from your browser or device; from payment, shipping, hosting, analytics, fraud-prevention, and communications providers; and, for business transactions, from your employer or organization. We may also receive information from distributors, marketplaces, or other business partners when needed to support an order or inquiry.
4. How we use information
We use personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:
- provide the Services, maintain your cart, process payment, fulfill and ship orders, provide order updates, and handle returns, warranties, and support;
- respond to contact, dealer, wholesale, and product inquiries and manage our business relationships;
- authenticate authorized users, maintain accounts and permissions, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce rate limits, troubleshoot errors, and protect our customers, personnel, systems, and property;
- analyze performance, understand use of the Services, improve our products and website, and maintain business records;
- send transactional messages and, where permitted, marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe method in the message; and
- comply with law, tax and accounting requirements, legal process, and our contracts, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose relevant personal information to the following recipients for the purposes described above:
- Service providers and processors that support payments, hosting, databases, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, security, customer support, and other business operations.
- Carriers and fulfillment partners that pack, ship, track, deliver, or service an order.
- Professional advisers such as accountants, auditors, insurers, and legal counsel.
- Authorities and other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or legal process, or is necessary to protect rights, safety, and security; investigate fraud; or enforce our agreements.
- Transaction participants in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of our business or assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- Other recipients at your direction or with your consent.
We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and have not done so during the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about an individual.
7. Retention and security
We retain each category of personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Retention depends on the nature of the record: order and transaction records are generally kept for tax, accounting, warranty, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution periods; inquiries and support records are kept while the matter remains relevant; account records are kept while an account is active and for a reasonable security period afterward; and technical logs are kept for the shorter period needed for security, diagnostics, and operations. We may retain information longer when required by law, litigation hold, or an enforceable contract.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information, including access controls, encryption in transit, multifactor authentication for sensitive administrative access, and audit logging. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information; to learn about the categories of information collected and disclosed; to limit certain uses of sensitive information; or to appeal our response. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
To submit a request, email DJ@ChariotConcepts.com with the subject “Privacy Request,” or call 800-448-1876. Please describe your request and the interaction or order involved. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and direct identity verification. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision and stating that you wish to appeal.
We may retain information that is exempt from a request or needed to complete a transaction, detect security incidents, comply with law, exercise legal rights, or meet another permitted purpose. California residents may also request the categories of personal information we collected, sources, purposes, categories of recipients, and specific pieces of information, as provided by applicable California law.
9. Children’s privacy
The Services and our commercial products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
10. Third-party services and links
The Services may link to websites or services operated by others, including distributors, video platforms, and our hosted payment provider. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, practices, or legal obligations. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use previously collected personal information, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
